JPG to PNG
Convert JPG and JPEG images to PNG locally, one batch at a time.
Orientation and color: the browser applies supported EXIF orientation to the pixels; source EXIF and embedded profiles are not copied. Canvas output is standardized to sRGB where supported. Very wide-gamut colors may look different.
PNG encoding is lossless for the decoded pixels. It does not restore detail already lost to JPEG compression, and PNG files can be larger than their JPG originals.
Convert JPEG to PNG
- Add one or more JPG/JPEG photos by browsing or dragging them into the page.
- Check the queue, dimensions and original file sizes.
- Convert locally, compare the output, then download PNGs individually or together in a ZIP.
Orientation and image data
Modern browsers decode JPEG images with their supported EXIF orientation applied. The pixels are then written into a PNG canvas at the displayed dimensions. EXIF metadata is not transferred to the PNG. The browser converts rendered pixels to the canvas color space (sRGB where supported); embedded ICC profiles and wide-gamut fidelity are not guaranteed.
File limits and privacy
Up to 200 files may be queued, with a 50 MB per-file limit and 100 MB total batch limit. Sources above 24 megapixels or 8192 pixels on either side are rejected before decoding. Decoded images use much more memory than compressed files, so conversion runs one image at a time. No image is uploaded.
FAQ
Is the JPG to PNG tool free?
Yes completely free, no account, no watermark, no daily limit. It runs entirely inside your web browser.
Which formats are supported?
JPG and JPEG images are converted to PNG format. The tool preserves displayed EXIF orientation and pixel dimensions.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Images are processed locally in your browser using native codecs. No file is uploaded or transmitted.
What about metadata?
Displayed EXIF orientation is preserved, but other metadata (such as camera details or GPS data) is not copied to the PNG output.
Can I convert multiple images at once?
Yes. Multiple JPG images can be queued and converted in a single batch, then downloaded individually or as a ZIP file.
